Use of Article in English Grammar

                                     Article and its kinds                    

Definition : A, An, The are  called article in English Grammar.
Kinds of Article: 
Article is Two in Kinds. They are 
                                                       1. Definite Article . The is Definite Article.
                                                      2. Indefinite Article.  A , An are Indefinite Article .
                                      
                                      

                                                Rules of Using A / An                  

1.Generally before Vowel (a, e,i,o,u) there is "an" ,before consonant  there is" a ".
         Ex an  apple,    a pen,    a horse ,  an  orange.

2. One takes  'a' .
      Ex.
           A one taka note.              It is an Ox.
           A one eyed man.              Give me an Orange.
           A one day work.               He was an Old man   
             

3. If "H" is  pronounced there is 'an' .
   Ex:  an heir ,                      horse 
           an hour ,                    a  hammer 
           an honest man,          a  hand

  4.If   "U or Eu" is pronounced as "U"  there is 'a' . 
        Ex:   a union                               an umbrella
                 a university                        an urgent matter
                 a unique                             an ultimate example
                 a useful                               an uncommon
                 a European                        an upright position
                  a ewe
5. To mean Unit (একক) there is a/ an..
Ex : He is a seven years old boy.
        It is a five taka note.
        He bought a kilo of sugar.
6. To give example with a great man there is a/an...
     You are a Shakespeare. 
     You are a Nazrul.
     An Omar does not come every country.
     An Akbar does not live all the age.
 7.To mean same category there is a /an..
     Birds of a  feather flock together.
     Criminals of a same character.
8. After "What " in exclamatory sentence there is a/an
    What a nice bird !
    What an odd thing !
9. When abstract noun is used as a common noun there is a/an ...
   The Tajmahal is a beauty. 
    He is a justice of peace.
